About The Work

This series deals with the necessity of clinging to a plan, a known shape which reassures us (me) and helps me “to read” what I see. National Geometric studies our faculty to forget our guides and to lose us in the nature, to read between straight line drawn by the man in his environment.

Print Informations

WHAT TYPE OF PAPER IS THE PHOTOGRAPH PRINTED ON?

All prints are Digital Pigment prints on museum-quality acid-free papers such as Museum Etching, Canson Rag and Arches Velin. These papers are designed to meet galleries and museum longevity requirements and ensure consistency of shades 200 years old. The choice of paper is suggested by the Photographer according to his or her preferences.

WHAT IS THE PRINTING PROCESS USED?

All prints are Digital Pigment Prints using the latest top of the line technology, archival high dynamic inks and 200 years old life paper.

IS THE IMAGE SIZE THE SAME AS THE PAPER SIZE?

NO! Our prints are on standard paper sizes and we don’t alter the image size and proportions to fit the paper. Each print has a minimum of 0.5 inch white border. This is an artistic decision that belongs to the artist. Margins don’t normally exceed 2-4 inches on each side depending on the final paper size.

Artist Bio

Self-taught photographer. Born in the south of France, I’ve lived and worked in Montreal since 2011. I wish I had a great story about inheriting my first camera from my grandfather or something like that, but no. I simply bought it in a store.

I’ve studied languages, worked as a lighting designer for shows, and spent several years being a creative ad guy. I now focus on my photography, based on observation and magnifying the simplest things.

I trust providence (not the religious definition though) and patience. My approach is based on wandering and accepting the impromptu.

I use photography to make simple factual observations and also to gather people, places, lines or lights in a setup that will exist only once.
