Hector Adalid developed his passion for photography while living in Amsterdam for two years. From Europe, he moved to New York where he assisted fashion photographers such as Mario Testino, Inez Van Lamsweerde and Patric Shaw.

His work has been published in a number of magazines in Europe, USA and Latin America, such as Celeste, Elle Germany and L’Optimum. He has been working on Campaigns for Governor of NY City Andrew Cuomo, Esprit, Marco O’Polo and on a new TV format with supermodel Karolina Kurkova.

As an anthropology major, Hector continues to return to his home country to document different subjects and a long term project on the Raramuri people in the north of Mexico. His latter work is part of the permanent collection of the National Anthropology and History Museum in Mexico City.

Hector Adalid was born in Mexico City, Mexico; he currently lives in NYC.
